Mr Peter Wong
FRACS (Urology) MBBS (Melb) AMA(M)
Mr Peter Wong is a Melbourne trained urologist. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1998, before undertaking basic and advanced general surgical training at The Austin and Repatriation Medical Centre.
Peter was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Urology) in 2013, and holds public hospital appointments at Eastern Health (Box Hill, Maroondah and Angliss Hospitals), and Mildura Base Hospital. He operates at Epworth Eastern Hospital, John Fawkner Hospital and Mildura Private Hospital, and consults in Alphington, Coburg, Ivanhoe, Blackburn North and Mildura.
His interests include benign and malignant prostate conditions, urological cancers, and kidney stones. These include laparoscopic, endoscopic (including greenlight laser) and general urological procedures (eg vasectomy, adult circumcision, scrotal surgery). Peter is interested in medical education, and supervises trainee urologists and medical students.
He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the American Urological Association, the European Association of Urology, the Australian Medical Association and Australian Chinese Medical Association of Victoria.
Peter consults at Blackburn North, Coburg, Livingstone St Clinic (Ivanhoe), Alphington Medical Centre (Fairfield) and Mildura (234 Thirteenth St).
He is an avid North Melbourne supporter, and enjoys spending time with his young children.
